Twitter

Sweet, it looks like you came to YouBeginHere.com from Twitter. I’m guessing we have more in common than Twitter. Speaking of twitter, they only give you 160 characters to describe yourself. Let me tell you a little more than that.

I’m a family man who is fortunate enough to have an awesome wife, Kimmy, and three cute kids that we love absolutely. God plays a big role in our life as we teach them about him in our daily conversations. Our family spends a lot of time together playing, walking, swimming, dancing and playing games.

Currently, I help churches understand SEO and use social media in their ministries. Lately, I have been building and making websites, online videos, back links and social media connections. I just love playing with all my fancy gear and making it do all that it can do.

When you meet me in person you will find me with my BlackBerry in hand updating my Blog, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn account. That is if I’m not making a YouTube video.

This is Pastor Paul Luna and I’m your online pastor. I look forward to getting to know you.

REMEMBER TO COMMENT BELOW: Alright, that is enough about me. What I really want to know is more about YOU! Leave a comment about yourself below and tell us something about who you are. Tells us something about your job, family or a passion that you have. Remember to include your Twitter handle and website so I (and other viewers) can check it out.

I know this is not one of  my usual vlogs, but I wanted to share with you our first look at The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.  These books are amazing and I have read them all a few times already.  The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is film adaptation of the fantasy novel by C. S. Lewis.  Lucy and Edmund, accompanied by their peevish cousin Eustace, sail to the land of Narnia.

What are your thoughts about the new movie?  Are you excited to see it?

Posted by Paul Luna June - 7 - 2010 - Monday ADD COMMENTS

When will people forgive BP for such a huge oil spill? Will we forgive them? YouTube Pastor Paul discusses forgiveness and the lessons we can learn from BP.

This video has been the most difficult video to date. It was filmed on Thursday, but has been plagued with problems since then in post production. It is not a nice of a quality as I would have liked, but at this point I’m just happy to be able to post it and move on. I start filming the next one in two days. Any ideas?

This commentary was a personal study through Ephesians.  Belolw you will find a link to download the whole PDF file.

This is a small letter from Paul to the people of Ephesus.  Ephesians divides into two halves: a theological section contained in Chapter 1 – 3, and a section of application in chapters 4 – 6.

Paul planted this church during his visit to Ephesus on his secondary missionary journey (A.D. 49-52) with Silas and his third missionary journey (A.D. 53-57).

The city of Ephesus was a large (300,000 people) and important city on the west coast of Asia Minor.

Galatia of Asia Minor

This commentary was a personal study through Galatians.  Belolw you will find a link to download the whole PDF file.

This is a small letter from Paul to the people of Galatia that is autobiographical and proclaims the doctrine of justification and validation by faith in God’s ability to redeem us alone.

Galatia is in Asia Minor, but no specific place seems to be mentioned.  It is now modern Turkey.  Paul traveled through Galatia three out of four of his missionary journeys.

The word Galatia literally means “Celts”.  In the third century BC many Celts moved into Greece.

What Parenting is All About.

Posted by Paul Luna June - 3 - 2010 - Thursday ADD COMMENTS

Parenting, that is a word that has a slightly different meaning for each of us. For some it encompasses being a dad or mom, for others it means being a grandparent or guardian. What an honor and privilege it is for God to entrust us with the care of our children. What a great responsibility!

God calls all of us to raise children in a way that leads them into a relationship with Him. “He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands,” Psalm 78:5-7. It is my desire to see children and their parents grow closer together as they grow closer to God.

It is vital that you foster this type of relationship between you and your child. Take the time to invest in them and be the spiritual leaders of their lives. Godly values are family values. “Impress them upon your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up,” Deuteronomy 6:7. There is no greater joy than to see your child grow in knowledge and love for God.
